Taste of United Way Scheduled for August 25th

Auburn, New York, June 30, 2026 – The United Way of Cayuga County is launching their annual Community-wide Fundraising Drive on Tuesday, August 25 with their “Taste of United Way” event. Join the United Way for this free, family friendly evening showcasing how programs strengthen our community. Taste of United Way will run from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, Auburn.
The event will feature a passport program, light snacks and cash bar, more than 30 interactive stations, raffles, and much more. Have your passport stamped as you ‘sample’ how your United Way gifts create positive change for your chance to win a $500 Wegmans gift card! Attendees of all ages who visit 75% of the stations will be entered—visit every station for three chances to win!
Each of the funded 2026-27 Member Agencies will host a station where you can learn more about their work and how they utilize United Way grant funding to support neighbors here in Cayuga County. Additionally, attendees will experience how United Way's initiatives and events are supporting youth success, increasing community engagement, strengthening financial empowerment, and supporting families across Cayuga County at seven different stations—including the Personal Care Drive station where you can receive one raffle table ticket for each full sized, new hygiene item you donate.
While this event is FREE and walk-ins are welcome, if you register your group by Sunday, August 23, your group will receive a 10% discount to use at The Refinery, courtesy of the Hilton Garden Inn. You will also receive one raffle ticket per registered person.
Those interested in learning more about ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) can participate in an abbreviated, 30-minute simulation during the Taste of United Way. When you check-in at the event, you can sign up to join either the 3:45pm or 5:00pm session—space is limited, arrive early. Those who complete the simulation receive a chance to win the $500 Wegmans gift card.
