Why Give
United Way is a Community Impact Leader
Your gift to United Way of Cayuga County supports 46 programs and impacts thousands of people’s lives in our local community. Your dollars help to improve quality of life for all ages from birth to elderly. The United Way takes on the responsibility as a vehicle for change; adding value to your gift so positive outcomes are maximized to their fullest potential.
Community Collaborations & Services
United Way of Cayuga County not only raises funds for vital programs among the partner agencies, but collaborates with community entities to execute four important programs that play a large role in our community’s well being.
CA$H
CA$H (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) is a program in which trained volunteers assist low to moderate income households in building stronger financial futures by preparing Federal and NYS tax returns FREE of charge.
2-1-1 Information & Referral Hotline
2-1-1 is a free, confidential three digit phone number available 24 hours a day, everyday, that connects you to a local call center with specialists trained to provide you information and referrals to human services that best address your needs.
Success by Six
Success by Six, an initiative of the United Way of Cayuga County, focuses on building a comprehensive experience by addressing the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of children from birth to age 6, preparing them before entering school. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a growing program that offers a free book each month to any child from birth to 6 years of age, delivered directly to the child’s home.
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides funds on an annual basis to organizations who offer emergency food and shelter services to our community.
