United Way Funding The United Way of Cayuga County currently funds 46 programs among 24 partner agencies. Each year, United Way's Fund Distribution/Agency Relations Committee conducts a long, strict process of partner agency reviews, interviews and community research. It is the committee's fiduciary responsibility to allocate the campaign funds to the appropriate funding areas listed below. 2009 Funding Areas: Early Childhood/Youth Development Strengthening Family & Individual Well-Being Senior Independence Building Skills for Self-Sufficiency Enhancing Family Wellness Rebuilding Lives in Time of Disaster ![]() Community Response Fund (CRF) This is a special fund which provides immediate funds to agencies if there is a crisis situation within a funded program and/or a new program is developed to address an emergent community need.
