Community Partnerships The United Way of Cayuga County provides administrative and professional management support to the Human Services Coalition of Cayuga County. Through the Coalition and its individual and organizational members, collaboration, coordination, cooperation and communications are enhanced.

Community Initiatives The United Way is uniquely positioned to address critical issues in the community. Through the volunteers and staff, special initiatives are identified and resources are provided to assist in addressing these issues. Often the United Way collaborates and/or partners with other community entities. The United Way builds on our community's assets, encourages multi-sector involvement, fosters volunteerism and promotes educational efforts to prevent problems from occurring.

Accountability Through trained volunteers from the community, the United Way provides oversight and executes fiduciary responsibility on behalf of donors. These volunteers comprise the Fund Distribution/Agency Relations Committee, which examines community needs and conducts reviews of member agencies relative to their funding requests. This Committee also is involved in helping member agencies in bettering their management and programming through training, grantsmanship and technical assistance.

The Positive Impact of Your Gift Your gift to the local Cayuga County United Way campaign multiplies the ways in which people's lives are improved throughout Cayuga County. Through several methods, the United Way can "add-value" to your gift so that positive impact is strategically maximized to help people in many ways.
